« on: November 18, 2014, 12:25:02 PM »
The Richmond Football Club has reported an operating profit of $1,329,530 for the year ended October 31, 2014.

The financial result is the 10th consecutive year of profit for the Tigers. The Club remains debt free, and has improved its net asset position from $22.38 million to $23.71 million.

The Club also continued to invest in the ME Bank Centre, by undertaking significant works around Punt Road Oval to upgrade spectator facilities, which benefits not only its members, but the wider community.

Fundraising, match-day and AFL distribution revenues were down on 2013 figures.

2014 highlights
- Record net membership revenue of $7.6 million, representing 66,854 members
- Record sponsorship net revenue
- Record coterie net revenue
- Continued investment and support provided to the Korin Gamadji Institute
- Continued investment and support provided to the Club’s preferred charity partner, The Alannah and Madeline Foundation

Have had a quick look at the numbers while having lunch

Only have Concise report at the minute but will get a copy of the full finanacials

However, on the surface they are very good set of numbers, very good

Most pleasing thing for me is the AFL backed bank guarantee is now GONE!  :clapping this means the Club's bankers don't see us a risk anymore

Also, the fact FTF donations & other fundraising is down but we still manage to post +$1.3 mil profit

Though I raised concerns about the club being too reliant on the FTF based on what I've read so far they have addressed that and for me that's a huge tick

Will have a closer inspection once I get the full financials

But on what we have so far fantastic result RFC  :clapping

So we profited 2 and 3 mil in 12 and 13 and we've gone backwards to 1 mil and it's a "huge win" ?

It's not a huge win, but if you take into account how we performed for the first half of the season it's a pretty good effort to come out in front.

I really don't understand what people expect. After the first half of the season, a number of people fell away... For us to still post a profit is a credit to the organization. If we can manage these type of results, in what i would deem an average year, we are heading in the right direction.

We have come from a long long way back. We aren't a powerhouse all conquering club, yet. Believe it or not but it takes time to build a club that can enjoy sustained success. Like WP I'm happy that the figures aren't inflated by the FTF.

Like every aspect of our club, we can still improve on this.
Detka! Detka! Detka!

In 2012 we finished 13th and made a 2 million profit this year we made the finals and made less than a fat and bald dodgy Lebanese builder

You can sugar coat all you want but I don't accept mediocrity like WP

From memory, we were receiving large sums of AFL support payments which were being booked as revenue back then.  Would be interesting to compare that to this year.

Well done Tiges. I expected a loss this season with the crowds down & given our start to the season.
