Change the culture & give the club 100% this season
« on: November 29, 2014, 01:10:36 AM »
Listen up everyone on the forum. It's time. Time to stop eating our own. It's time to be supporters. One Eyed Tiger Supporters.
l'm getting close to being a member for near 40 years. l want to see another premiership in my lifetime & l bloody well deserve it. l support this club like its my family. Its time for the supporters on this site to stop bashing the club & the players & stuffing support the club as its family. Treat the club like its our blood & our family. Support everything our club stands for. Support our sponsors. Supports our coach & his staff. Support the players & most of all support the admin who are running the business. The club is in its best shape & if we dont give them 100% support & confidence then we will never win a premiership. We as supporters of the Richmond football club need to change the way we support the players & staff by giving them 100%+ support. The supporter need to bond together as a whole & support the football club as a whole community. l have 100% faith in the football club & l want to see a premiership. all l'm asking is for the members of this forum to support the club 100% that''s all just support the club. No rubbish bagging the Tigers.

l know where my heart lays. If you dont feel the love & feel the same way. Then take your football knowledge & depart the club.,

Packed and ready for the Pilgrimage. It been far too long a road but one that true supporters have to travel. Don't agree with everything the club does, that's fine. Just be supportive not so freaking negative.

Of all the brands thrown our way in life the RFC is the only one I can call my own.I love this club and want it to be the best.I will support it,encourage it,yell for it ,but like all things dear to me I will critique it ,not because I want to belittle it but rather in my own small way try to lift it up.Sometimes that critique may go too far but hey none of us  are perfect.

I hear you but I also think it's important not to confuse supporting the team with doing the job of every member and holding the organisation to account and demanding performance.

I support the team whole-heartedly but I also look at the pillars of our club: O'Neil, Gale, Richardson, Jackson, Hartley, Hardwick and Gale is the only one I can see who I couldn't immediately name someone else doing a better job in the same position elsewhere.

So as a member I am compelled to demand those others increase performance or move on. Otherwise we get nowhere.

There is merit in both TM's and TBR's positions. I lay somewhere in between.

hmmm..... there's a disturbing image
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

What like I did two years ago and he delivered nothing. Sure I can do that again. If your selective memory kicks in, I actually stuck up for him on many occasions, but he didn't repay me...anyway, yep i'm on board.

Thread of the Year!  Well done TM.
I bleed Yellow & Black, honestly, this club is like a part of me.
When I see the club making what I consider to be mistakes I stop & take a big breath.  I could take my frustrations out on the club & curl up into a little ball of hate & spite, but that is just self-defeating.  That is how to lose!
Its tough sometimes, sometimes it really hurts, but I do my best to 'man up' & swallow my own cr@p rather than disgracing the club I love so much in an open forum.  If you don't like it you are allowed to say so, but I just try to admit that I don't know everything about everything that goes on in the inner sanctum of the club.  I'm just a supporter, so a supporter I will be!
Challenging the club to do better is fine, that is a positive thing actually, but turning on the club by spewing pages of rubbish on the internet, just because I shot my mouth off to a few of my stupid mates, is just pathetic!  Cop it on the chin & be a man!  Opposition fans can read this forum too & they love licking up our tears of frustration, they love watching us implode ... so ... be a man!  Then be a bloody proud Richmond supporter!      :gotigers
Once a Tiger, always a Tiger!  Loud, proud & dangerous!
