Guess the new jumper numbers?
« on: December 01, 2014, 09:53:30 AM »
As a bit of fun, let's see who can guess the closest to what jumper number each of the newbies will get?

The free guernsey numbers are 17, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28*, 32, 37, 40, 45, 46, 47, 48, ....

* RFCO said Taylor Hunt has asked for Kingy's old number 28.

23. Reece McKenzie
27. Daniel Butler
32. Connor Menadue
40. Nathan Drummond

First 3 won't happen WAT, under Dimma's tenure all first year drafted players start with a high number. Have to earn a lower one but in the same breath on another number topic Dimma will say they are only numbers  :huh3

So based on that logic  ;D

32 - Ellis
37 - Menadue
40 - Drummond
46 - Butler
48 - McKenzie

Ok, thanks WP. You know what, in this day and age I think the high versus low jumper numbers are ridiculous. Its not the number that makes the player!!!!

Only thing is if you get 32 you might like to keep that for your whole career so where is the incentive to earn your lower number which is the point of the exercise??
Otherwise just give the number one pick whatever they like??
Love to see C Ellis in number 21

According to some, Ellis should get 49 to reflect his kicking effeciency.
