Joel Bowden was soft as butter at times too. Yet was a champ.

Houli at times shirked when he had to go. I'm not bothered he doesnt have Baker's gonads when he kicks the ball as well as he does and gets that much of it. No issue at all. If we are relying on Short to put his head in line of fire and get contested marks and possessions we have way bigger problems.

Criticising Short for being 'soft' is about as useful as bagging Grimes for not kicking more goals.

Short first game back a little rusty but very important to our structure considering the extra work teams are putting into D Rioli. He was just about our best and was instrumental to getting our offensive game going.

Vlaustin has cost us goals last night and has been woeful all year but crickets

Nope wrong again and nice little try at deflection. Ive stated a few times that both Vlastuin and Grimes should be  on notice. Trouble is we only have one Vlastuin type and thats Nick himself and we are down on talls big time with Grimes.

With Short i did say it was a decent game but that does not mean you overlook the panic attacks and just slamming it on his boot or panic handball when hes about to be tackled which cost us. But you lot sure do.

Given the stand rule I feel like the long kicking HB is at a premium. Short’s obviously not on Daicos’ level but you see how important the kick ins and that kick out of HB is now we have this stand rule with a a massive protected area
