Does his job most weeks and he isn’t far away from a really big game IMO.

2020 has definitely been his quietest year since 2017 but like a few others, I think the shorter quarters haven’t helped him.
He is such a powerful athlete that works harder than most, he does extremely well at the ends of quarters when others start slowing down or hot going as hard.

Jeez, I hope it goes back to 20 minute quarters next year.

Jason Castgana

Kicked a goal and was involved in a couple of other scores. He and Rioli made the most of limited opportunity, but not much of an imprint on. the game.

Jason Castagna

Largely was kept quiet and booted his only goal for the night in the final quarter to ensure the Tigers would move into the third week of finals.

Jason Castagna

Had a mark he’d usually gobble up for a set shot but it was an almost night for him. Very quiet night but others stood up to cover as they often do in this side.

I hope he lifts and kicks a snag early in GF after 0.5 last year. Been seriously below standard this year. I wonder how much of Butler success has impacted on him.
Go Tigers!

Needs to lift big time use to stay involved in the game now goes missing.I would move him up the ground when that happens.

Won't be dropped and is required to pressure geelongs defenders.

Jason Castagna – 5
Wasn't seen much at all, as is occasionally his want, but often plays a hard-to-identify running role creating space for fellow forwards. Did banish his 2019 Grand Final goal-kicking woes with a composed set shot at the start of the third quarter.

Had a slow start but a floater shot on goal from a mark managed to sneak between the big sticks to reduce the margin to less than a goal during the opening five minutes of the third term.

Crucial goal. Not a great year but effort was always there.

Hope he bounces back in 2021. Still definitely best 22 for me.

The luckiest player in the team. Three premierships. Can’t kick. Unreliable.  Panics.  Can’t handball with any accuracy. Can’t do anything on his left side. Trade value?  That goal he kicked was a Kernahan special.

He can’t kick and he doesn’t have much footy nous but what he does have is speed, evasive skills and he can mark the footy and he can harass, chase,  pressure and tackle

And all those attributes count for very valuable in the way we play and the way we win.

I concede haven’t been his biggest fan along the way but he is a very important cog in the Richmond machine and he does what is required most weeks.
The club that keeps giving.

Despite (or maybe it's because of) my opinion of him as a player, I nonetheless take great delight in the fact this bloke now has more premierships than Ablett...and of course three more than Dangerflog.... :shh
