How much is left in the kitty?
« on: December 04, 2014, 01:08:29 PM »
after having a poor list for so many years

and now with some progression being made with a young list overall

and not too distant memories of talk of having to do silly contracts just to reach minimum salary cap percentage ...

how much do you think is left for rance, martin

and a free agent?

surely we have money

how the hell does the like of carlton have a seemingly endless money ffs

get dangerfield

stuff Clangerfield. Out of the FA's would prefer Nathan Jones or Jack Stevens.

Would prefer even more to just raid Great White Elephant.

Lol would be a massive punch to the balls of Melbourne if we managed to pinch Nathan Jones.

Would love to see that happen...

nah they won't mind, they'll be in full list management mode again no doubt resting Jones and playing the superstar draftees they've brought in...  8)  again...

You think they'd cost us much as Clangerfield would? You reckon Paddy would've looked as good playing in a shyte truck of a side like Melbourne for most of his career?

You think they'd cost us the same as Clangerfield would? You reckon Paddy would've looked as good playing in a train wreck like Melbourne for most of his career?
No I don't think they would cost the same, mainly because they are not as good.  :thumbsup
Danger is a star, don't think any/many would dispute that. The others you mention are solid at best.
Paddy is exactly what the RFC needs. I can only dream.

Never said they were as good - was talking in terms of value for money and list management- we could proably almost grab both for what he'd cost and still go after some GWS young guns as well.

...and they're both more than merely "solid" Stevens is at least a level above that and you're blind if you can't see that Jones is gun...arguably the most underrated player in the comp. - been carrying the entire side on his shoulders since Bailey was still coach.

Stevens has had one good year, so solid is fair I would say.
Jones the most underrated player in the comp, I think it's you that is blind. In such a sh/7 side someone has to look the best.
Anyway who cares really, both are no chance of leaving their sh)? clubs.
