Patrick Dangerfield will have to accept a pay packet less than his market value if he wants to play at Geelong next year.

Dangerfield, 24, is out of contract at season’s end and could command a million-dollar payday as he moves into the prime of his career.

I agree with Claw, to date Gwilt has been a far better player than Grimes who IMO has only had one good half year (2012?) but unfortunately did his hammy. Grimes has more promise but Gwilt has the runs on the board and as a cheap top up he would of been worth getting

But whatever earthquakes 2015 holds in store, no one will be even slightly surprised if Adelaide's prized free agent Patrick Dangerfield ends up at Geelong. The shock will be if he plays for another club, besides the Cats or Crows.

Cant believe the Cats have this seemingly never ending pool of money and cap, similar to that of the Pies and Blues and a few others...

Do we actually have radar?

We've been so low on the ladder over the years, the club traded theirs in for a sonar!

maybe we have a Tom Tom so we can tell Patty how to get to Punt Road

The cashed-up Tigers did not participate in last year’s trade period but are expected to make a serious play for a big-name free agent at the end of this season.

Adelaide free agent Patrick Dangerfield is the game’s biggest name to put off contract talks with his club, fuelling speculation he could be headed home to Victoria.

We won't get him, and I don't want him. Not worth what it would take. Just get Shields and another player

Not just money that will lure Danger
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Difference is we have to trade for Shiel, and I doubt we'll have the currency GWS are after.

I'd hope we're looking at Scott Selwood long and hard.
