Mediocre since 1994
« on: August 18, 2005, 05:58:50 AM »
Found this over at the hawkheadquarters forum. Interesting that we've still outperformed five other Melbourne clubs despite only making the finals twice in the past. Just shows that prior to last year we've been too good to be totally crap but too crap to be any good :-\.

Funny how the Pies get the most blockbusters and Friday night games despite being the worst Vic club (excluding Fitzroy) ::).

They also had the 1983-1991 records. Not surprisingly it was shocking. A 32% winning record - 65 wins, 133 losses. Only the Saints and Bears were worse!

Interesting that St.Kilda, Melbourne and Collingwood are below us but have all contested grand finals in that time. You just wish we were more up and down rather than mediocre.

Essendon and the Kangas are the surprises to me in that list. You could make money (or free pots of Draught) out of that list, thanks MT

Pt Adel, had they been in the whole time and maintaned that w/l ratio, would be in the top three with that excellent record of 2 wins to every loss.
