Troy Chaplin's calf was pretty minor but it just wasn’t good enough to play. He was coming off a hard deck up at the Gabba. He pulled up a bit sore but we’re expecting him to play this week.
*
Chris Newman copped a pretty big knock to his back last week. It was pretty sore for the whole week and we just couldn’t get him up to play. We’re hoping he can train and be available for selection this week.”
*
Brett Deledio resumes running this week. He probably unlikely to be available this weekend but we’ll see how that progresses over the week. Hopefully, we’ve got him back doing skills next week and we can get him playing some game time really soon. It’s been frustrating for everyone but we’re looking forward to having him back training with the group next week.

Dylan Grimes (hamstring) and
Reece Conca (hamstring) are also available for selection.
* The news is not so good for
Ben Griffiths, who Burge said will miss one to two weeks with a calf injury picked up in the loss to the Demons.
*
Nathan Drummond will miss the rest of the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, but Burge is confident he will be able to play in next year's pre-season competition.
