If ever there was a game where bad kicking cost what could've/should've been a win then it was Carlton today. Twice as many clearances as Essendon, 50 more contested possessions, more inside 50s, 5 more scoring shots yet they kicked 11.18 and had just 60% field kicking efficiency. Like us last week, winning the stats means diddly squat if you botch the footy all day.

Got to love that shinboner spirit  :whistle.

Tiges get a thumping win and North lose. Not a bad night  ;D.

As much as I hate North would've preferred seeing Port going 0 -3, if only to see how the tarps look at Adelaide Oval.

I was legitimately torn last night, love seeing norf get beat but seeing port start at 0-3 with the hawks next week would've been something

Happy to see the Suns 0-3. I think most pundits had then contending for the Eight, so it's better for us if they have a winless start to the season.

The Cats have lost Bartel and possibly Stokes for when we play them in two weeks.

How will Clarkson cope with this kind of start?

Better than Hardwick, who would just let the game roll on regardless because once we start playing our best footy we can beat anyone.

Almost an exact copy of what Port did to us in the first quarter of Elim final.

GWS flogged the Suns btw. They are finally arriving so the AFL will be happy. Shiel with a lazy 38 possies.

As for the arvo game, I hate the Pies but at least we won't have to put up with another week of Robbo, Connolly and Watson pumping up "brave Essendon" :chuck.

bump

they are at least showing heart
And that's the difference between both coaches & sadly both clubs.
No heart, no hardness, no passion, no premiership & the hawks are going for three in a row
The club that keeps giving.

Port ran out of rotations. With two of their best mids out in Gray and Wines, the others ran out of legs.

We didn't have that luxury in the elimination final and we don't have Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis and Burgoyne.......
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.
