I agree 100%. And yet, the majority of teams today still continue to copy the Lyon style. It's why I've only bothered to drag myself to two games this year (and immediately regretted it due to the negative tactics successfully employed against us.) Maybe if more clubs adopted the "let's blow them away" Hawthorn style, rather than the, "let's suck all the fun out of the game style", spectators might start enjoying the game again.
