“It’s going to be an area of focus for us.  But I think the most important thing we can do, for our fans, is play an attractive brand of footy and win.  We can’t escape that fact . . . that’s the most important thing,” Richmond’s CEO Brendon Gale said on the Club’s official podcast ‘Talking Tigers’.

“With the whole match-day experience, the MCG’s going to have a lot of LED signage around level one and ground level.  So we’ll be able to introduce Richmond themes at various stages through the game.

“It’ll be really building more on what we’ve established already, like using the location of Punt Road Oval as a bit of a meeting place, using the concourse, we’ll continue our Homecoming Heroes theme, which we introduced last year, which was a real hit, and there’ll be kick-to-kick at various games on Sundays.

“That whole match-day experience is something that I think we’ve got a huge room to improve.”

pee the drums off.
Who isn't a fan of the thinking man's orange Tim Fleming?

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

I like this, more so because it's like the old Bo Jo is back. For a time there, quite simply "Bo Jo lost his mojo"
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

No wonder this club is stuffed.

Maybe we should fire up some Richard Tambos before the game as well.

That's for the end of the game when we win!

I'm a bit of a Survivor "Eye of the Tiger" fan myself.  Wouldn't mind them running out to that tune!
It would certainly rev up the crowd.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

I'd flick the "home coming hero" thing.

If your up the other end of the ground (Ponsford stand) it means very little. And the times I was up the other end (Southern Stand) it had very little atmosphere, seemed very rushed

and BTW I'd keep the drums  ;D
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

Righto, I'm going to put this bluntly.

If you like the drums then you're a Collingwood supporter. You might not realise it but you are.

If we have to do something pre-match it needs to be a reworked version of 'Is this the way to Amarillo' or nothing.

Flick homecomin hero but keep the drums. Lol genius  :wallywink Sometimes you amaze me, you're happy to flick something that acknowledges our legends but you want to keep the cringeworthy drums. Hehe

Keep the drums something different.
Keep the homecoming hero, link to the past for much of the  more newbie recent rank and file supporter who probably remember Richo vaguely or something like it.
Perhaps even playing a few songs while team is warming up
Eye Of The Tiger/ Rocky theme
I'd say Long Way to the Top but AFL are using it.
Welcome to the Jungle by the Gunners get the fans up and going
Conversely We're not gonna take it by Twisted Sister if we're 3/13 like last year.
Mix it up.

Surely more inspiring than Bernard Fanning I just want to wish you well that gets played out.
Maybe get a fans to do this part of the routine.

You want fans to participate use their feedback and FFS win games of footy and play like a professional outfit. All helps.

Means nothing if we're offered the world pre match only to go home disgruntled, disengaged and disgraced. :thumbsup
