If RFC are going to adopt a Hawthorn-esque style of play ie. launching attacks from half back, and we want Vlastuin to be that general ala Luke Hodge, it will take him a bit more time to develop. I know a couple of Hawthorn supporters and they were crying out to have Hodge delisted because they thought what a waste of a #1 pick.
Of course if you stick him in the guts, he will get a lot more ball and as such you can expect/demand accelerated improvement and of course you would want him to join he 25+ disposals/match group of players. However as I'm not sure what Dimma's plans are with him exactly, if it's the coach's plan to have him be the next Luke Hodge, I would persevere with him a bit longer as his composure under pressure is fantastic for someone whom is only 20/21
