Dimma was our worst. Smashed in the box by Beveridge. We had poor players, no doubt, but he is my biggest concern.

Chaplin was far from our worst. Far, far, far from our worst.

Off the top of my head Maric, Morris, Batchelor, Gordon, Lambert, Newman, Pettard, Houli, Grigg, Griffiths, Grimes, Hunt and Vlastuin were all worse than him.

Thought our defenders held them well. Boyd, Cordy and Crameri had one mark and 2 goals between them, both to Crameri and one of those was a Joe the Goose.

What more do we want from our key defenders?

l would be looking more at our midfield not winning the contest out of the centre the last 2 weeks. Bring in Vickery to help with the ruck & around the ground. Give the mids first use of the ball more often. Forwards continue to miss too easy of shots on goal from 40 metres. gee l'm a old man & can still kick 55 metres with a full tank  ;D

In terms of momentum killers i though Houli and Cotch had a couple of shockers that certainly wouldn't have them in the top 5 best players that's for sure. Cotch i think has to learn to be more selfish, dont know if its lack of confidence or because he is captain he tries to involve other players but really, when inside 50 for Gods sake have a shot at goal yourself! Having said this you cant question his effort overall but these dinky 5 metre passes and loopy handballs are just not good enough as far as i am concerned. And as far as Houli is concerned, someone please book him in as soon as possible for an eye test, add to that a colour blindness test, can only put his farcical kicking display down to eyesight issues, nobody could possibly miss targets by that far with 20/20 vision.

Completely outcoached by a first year coach. His team selections also a worry.

wont rank em i do that enough pre season etc. will say one thing over half that team has to be replaced its long been the case. our problem even though few want to admit it the rest of the list doesnt allow for us to do much about em at all.

i can see it now. we beat bl next week and that is by no means a given and all will be good with many. a win doesnt magically fix our problems. we could go on and make the 8 the problems will still be there.
they will still be there because we just dont have the talent to take us much further than mediocre.

This was a ranking for the one game.

Are there problems?  Yes
Is this a list to win a flag? No
Is there the base of a list that could?  Yes
Were they bad this week? Yes
Are things as bad as you say? No
Is the sky falling?  See the question above.

This was a ranking for the one game.

1/ Are there problems?  Yes
2/ Is this a list to win a flag? No
3/ Is there the base of a list that could?  Yes
4/ Were they bad this week? Yes
5/ Are things as bad as you say? No
Is the sky falling?  See the question above.
i can cop all of that even the sky is falling barb.
1/ so we agree. i suppose how big the problems are is where we differ.
2/ agree again how far away the list is is where we probably disagree.
3/ disagree.   is there a base to win a gf. in a word no. i think at least 5 yrs before we get remotely  close to a flag if all things go well.. so who will be there and in their prime in 5 yrs time. who will be good enough. i could do a list but im not the one telling this marvelous premiership story  maybe you can name that magical base for me.
4/ agree they were just as bad last week as well  and just as poor for most of last yr.
5/ we disagree but your entitled to your opinion as i am mine.

is the sky falling ??? last time i looked no.  the sky cant fall on   me because i dont have any high expectations.
ive said the following  for yrs on end now. we are a poor to average side who has managed middling finishes. the frustrating part is we keep on making the same mistakes doing the same sort of things over and over and expecting things to be different. if this ever changes i may put the rose coloured glasses on and join ya but not before.
