If Adam Goodes was really serious he wouldn't be playing this year at all. Clear as daylight that he should have quit at the end of last season as his form waned.

As for this notion of he has offered to play in the NEAFL, I don't buy it. Personally, he was about to be dropped. Facts are his pre-season form was terrible, hence why he was the sub the last 2 weeks and if the swans very serious and prepared to make the tough calls he wouldn't have played rds 1 & 2

He should have quit last year as well, just like Newman should have.

Sometimes clubs shouldn't give players the option, like what we did and what Sydney did with Goodes. They need to have the courage to say "thanks but time for you to move on"
goodes has been shot for more thnan 1 yr.
and he didnt do a thing for the team. he did a typical goodes sook act and looked after himself first.

me iagree do away with the sub rule in fact do away with the sub rule and three on the bench. two on the bench a game is plenty.

And you're the Malcolm X of the RFC - go figure....
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Newy was good tonight. Did far more in one game as a defensive forward than Morris did in two plus three preseason games.

Says more about Morris than Newman really. Tipping the longer the season goes and the better the opponents get, the more he'll start to struggle.

if you had the choice of Newman or Goodes to play for RFC (in their present state) who would you pick?

goodes he would at least allow us to structure up with a third tall fwd.

newman had a good game they all had a good game bar one or two.

the thing to ask is. was it a flat track bully game where we excelled with little pressure applied which has been our way under hardwick. or was it a game of genuine improvement.
me im just gunna say it was a game we should have won easy and we did.

Yeah I'm not getting carried away with that win. Our intensity and tackling was up though, which was the most pleasing thing for me.
