The Barometer - Round 4
Herald-Sun
April 20, 2015

ON THE BLOCK: Not many candidates here but if someone has to make way Sam Lloyd is in the most danger after starting as the sub. Nathan Gordon and Kamdyn McIntosh are others around the fringe who might be a little nervous. Chris Knights is a certain omission after yet another injury — let’s hope this one isn’t too serious.

ON THE CUSP: Deledio has missed two matches with a calf injury and will try to prove his fitness this week. Not a lot of pressure pushing up from lower levels with Richmond’s VFL side defeated by Coburg. Ty Vickery kicked three goals and Ben Lennon two.

AL PATON’S FORECAST: Like North Melbourne a week before, the Tigers did what they had to do — smash a Brisbane team that was barely competitive for stretches of Saturday night’s contest. Unlike the Roos, Richmond doesn’t face a premiership contender the next week. Instead, it has the chance to atone for the low point of last season, a loss to Melbourne in a game that was supposed to pay tribute to the late Tom Hafey. The Tigers will need to make the most of a friendly early draw before facing the Kangas and Geelong.

Why the hell would McIntosh be nervous? LOL

Even Sam Lloyd's output has been much improved this year, a lot more run and effort.

Would still axe Newman personally. Good game or not, he's taking a development spot. If we were pushing for a top-4 finish and he was best-22 then sure keep him. But we're not going to be near the mark this year so he's stifling the development of a younger kid.

Out:
Knights
Newman

In:
Lids (if available)
Lennon
Ellis (if no Lids)

Will be interesting to see if Cotch gets helped by his team mates when he is relentlessly tagged, scragged and bagged by melb

Honestly we just need a bunch of C grade hacks who can take a bloke or two clean out of the game.

On base wage, tell him he gets $10k bonus (performance incentive?) if he knocks his target out for the rest of the match.

Knocks out Vince this week, does 6-8 weeks suspended, comes back and does it again.

Blokes will get the idea and stop clinging onto Cotchin like an infant koala.

.

Not a bad idea but before you know it club will be fined or something will be done.... It's not in the spirit of the game really either.

Let's be fair dinkum though, if Cotchin receives same treatment as Danger then something needs to be done, some one needs to put his hand up and lay a massive shepperd or something.
I loved what Bernie did on the weekend to be honest, maybe Danger should of received 1 or 2 more free kicks but it was good to see that the game still has a bit of grunt in it.

Out: Knights
In : Lennon

there will be no other changes apart from Knights out.

Deledio will be right. Give him another week or two.

Would love to see Cory Ellis or Lennon come in for Deledio. Likely Lennon methinks.

Funny how RFCO just shut down the Lids rumour on PRE.
So RFCO is posting on PRE but not here - what happened to us?

Al Paton just proved himself the greatest dill in AFL journalism.

Speaking of the Dee's game, I'm going to be there (2nd game in 4 weeks after no games for 2 years) and will be going to the Social Club before the game to get some bloody benefit from my Maurice Rioli Club membership.  Flick me a PM maybe if anyone is interested in catching up there before the game?
