lmfao! Getting rid of Ottens was a great move. I was ecstatic when we got two first round picks for him. If only we got rid of him a year or two earlier, we may have been even been able to get a top ten pick instead of a 12 or 16l.

We tried to get one of the 1st rounders as a top 10 last year, but it wouldn't work out.

Carlton wasn't trading their pick at all, Collingwood then done that stupid trade with Hawthorn exchanging the 7th and 10th picks and a trade with Adleaide's 8th pick wasn't working out.

No biggie, i believe Wallace said he would of taken Meyer with an earlier pick anyway, as he rated him in the top 8-10 players on offer.

And remember we got Simmonds for Fiora who is only a back up at the Saints when injuries hit.

Poor Geelong gave up two 1st rounders for him aswell, thanks cats!  :thumbsup

To rub salt into the wounds we used their pick 16 on a young ruckman/forward in Patto that the Cats desperately need with Otto injured most of the time and King nearing the end.

Saw ottens a couple of weeks ago at the Vegas Room at Crown limping around all by his lonesome.
Wanted to buy him a drink as a thank you for leaving the tigers. Stopped and thought about for a minute and thought "buck him - he can buy his own drink"

PS - Simmo gets on the ground during the season, unlike Otto.

Major difference = you'd never have heard me say "hubba hubba!" or "sigh, sigh" after any mention of Ottens.

Yes I always knew Otto was a dud and was glad to see him go.

I think it was Jackstar that wanted to keep him.   :scream

I saw on the sports news tonight that he wasn't training - walking in the park.

I wanted to keep him until I found out he was leaving. :shh

It was then that the brilliant minds on this forum helped me to see the light.

I wasn't excited about Simmonds either but he has given more than i would have hoped for from him.
