Who gets the 3 votes today ? Cant figure it out

Big Ivan by a long way

Basically been a one man show after Ty went down

He's lead as he always does from the front

reckon jack might steal em.

Jack was great he'd get my 2 votes but Ivvy was something special today

My top 3:

Miles .... set up the game early on that gave us the 3-4 goal gap we held for most of the game.
Ivan
Jack

Dusty stood up in the middle in the last and created 2-3 goals through smart play.

Dare I say it but Hardwick & co have out coached Himkley & co

This. It was written everywhere over the field.

We beat Collingwood on effort. Beat Port on tactics AND effort.

What has happened in the last two weeks? This kind of performance beats teams like Geelong, Melbourne and maybe Footscray.

Votes for me:

3 - Jack: the difference in front of goal that both sides needed tonight, and was everywhere. Backline, mid, wing and forward. Huge work rate!
2 - Maric: carried the ruck load after Vickery went down (who had been a solid backup btw). Pity he didn't jag a goal - would have got my 3 votes if he nailed one of those but probably kicking tired and the occasion didn't call for a sympathetic nervous system response.
1 - Martin: gave us the kind of drive forward in the last quarter that we so desperately needed in the 3rd. Was a big contributor in the crunch.

Very disappointed with Cotchin again, which is a shame after a couple of huge performances. Bloke was completely nullified by a retiring fossil, albeit a great run-with player. Wanted to see Cotchin break the tag or at least go deep and turn Cornes into a defender.

We applied a lot of pressure and it was probably our best game of the year but to be fair..
Port played no where near their best and were horrible missing easy kicks and set shots they would always kick.
cant take anything away from the boys though as it was a great effort.

Yes, but if we played like that we'd be calling for Hardwick head and saying the players are all duds.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

What has happened in the last two weeks?

after 1/4 time against the pies we nearly eliminated pressure causing forward handballs to stationary players

i listened on the radio today so i cant say for sure, but we had 205 kicks to 143 h/b . Compare that to the north game where we had 178 of each

I thought it was an exceptional performance. I love footy the way we played tonight. It wasn't pretty or fancy, it was just professional and tough, Port were never really in with a chance of winning I didn't think, lots of great performances today but special mention to the kid Menadue, kicked a clutch goal from 55 out and basically killed any Port Adelaide momentum that could have started. The defenders were terrific as well led by Rance again. Well done to them all and well done to Hardwick who clearly outcoached Hinkley tonight. Credit where credit is due  :clapping

We never allowed Port to play their own game right from the start. l bet there are alot of very sore bodies from both teams after that. That was one of the hardest games l seen for along time. To stop a power scoring team like Port on their home ground & the crowd against us. This was a super effort by everyone. Hinkley had no answer. Gray & a few others stood out for them also but they were exhausted so much that they missed goals from being so fatigued. l'm so rapped for the team tonight. & to lose Vickery made no difference. Everyone worked hard. They all done their job to perfection. Well done lads  :clapping :clapping :clapping
