Mark Stevens, just now on Ch 7, said Carlisle will leave Essendon and most likely head to Carlton.

Jake Carlisle: Appears more unlikely than likely to be at Essendon next year after struggling for form for the past two seasons predominantly as a forward. Hird persisted with him in attack this year and it never came off. The Bombers have been trying to get negotiations going for more than a year now but they have not progressed very far.

Don't want this scrub anywhere near the club. He's a decent defender at best, but not a player we don't already have. Would rather any of the other players we've been linked too recently.

Carlisle and Rance would make an unbeatable duo as key defenders for us. I would take him if he wants to come to Richmond. He is young enough to play a lot of games for the Richmond Football Club.

Clubs will be put off by the article in the papers mostly coz they will worry about how Carlisle will be going forward, Richmond should offer him a home. He is a 10 year player in the making. Carlisle will be ok in a new environment and when he the Tiger Army gets behind him he will come good for us. I would offer up our first pick in a heart beat for Carlisle.

Who can blame him for not wanting to play for that debacle of a club?

Bloke was damned near All Australian in the back line, and has shown that he can do extraordinary things in the forward line too. Can pinch hit in the ruck as well!

I would be inquiring for sure. And Henderson.
