Anyone want a drunkard with skillz
« on: June 03, 2015, 07:24:40 PM »
Charlie Dixon is out of contract at the end of the year

http://www.theage.com.au/sport/suns-duo-break-booze-pact-as-charlie-dixon-confesses-to-regular-matcheve-drinking-20150603-ghfwdl.html

Great player, would love him at the Tiges, trade TV and Griffs for him, but is he a Fevola style drunkard.  Anybody got some more lowdown on his bad habits?

True He isn't one of Hardwicks faves so you may have a grain of truth there.  Still you'd have to think it'd sink in to even Dimmers neuronal circuits.

All's not well up at Vlad Coast....hope we're sniffing around....regardless of how they're travelling this year, there's still a goldmine of young talent comparable to GWS up there....

Listed as 202/110. Bit of a unit this bloke.

Worth the kind of money Brisbane will offer him? Certainly not...

Dixon would be worth a crack at. Good size and can play, but like Andyy said, probably not quite enough to get into a bidding war over if that's what it came to. Was a fan years ago and Dio has been suggesting it recently, McKenzie would be my pick of the bunch. Not so much as a stopper, but plays great loose/intercept/3rd up behind the ball, can actually run and break lines and has a booming and left foot.

Apparently had a couple of glasses of red, not a good idea on Friday night but wouldnt exactly make him a drunkard.

You have to read past the AFL spin, 2 glasses of red = 2 bottles, a couple of beers = 15 pots.  Remember lying is the second language of the AFL.

Mooney saying apparently the bill from the hotel room-service included hamburgers and stuff too haha.

Sounds like they had a chill night on the sauce with some junk food. Poor when you consider how badly their team is performing, not to mention 3 players already got suspended for drinking a few weeks ago - shows that these blokes don't take their football seriously, are arrogant, and have no respect for their coach.

And if Brisbane is going to offer $850k/year for 4 years he's certainly not worth the punt...

Ok so Caro says Dixon is in the way out at 600k a year. Do we want him at that price given TV and Griff seem to be playing OK for the moment but were both crap in periods this year.

When was the last time our half forward kicked 7? David clokes retirement in 1992 maybe?
