So sad. That's way too young.

This clip shows how good a darts player he was.

A sad day and an end of an era. Bert was the last of the legends from Aussie TVs golden years.

I wasn't born for IMT (although I've seen many highlights since) but I grew up with the Don Lane Show. In a two-man comedy act, Bert could play both roles. He was the 'straight-man' to Kennedy and then switched to playing the clown to Don Lane.

RIP Bert. Condolences to Patti and family.

Champion keeper and very handy with the bat too.

Growing up it was c. Marsh b. Lillee. Still the record for a keeper and bowler too IIRC.

When Marsh retired along with Lillee and Greg Chappell, Australian cricket took almost a decade to recover.

RIP.

Geez, that's an absolute shock. Two of our greatest cricketers gone within 24-48 hours.

RIP.

Not only a test legend either. Warney was a star in all formats of the game. The standout game for mine was his 4/29 in that 1999 World Cup drawn semi final. We looked gone but he came on and turned the game.

ps. 3 of his best deliveries. How he'll be remembered:
