There is more thran one type of flu. Flu shots are good but doesn't guarantee you don't get the flu.

plus it is more likely to be a cold, or rhino (sp) virus rather than the flu - influenza virus

not sure why the idea is being discounted out of hand by some, because if it is true, it will have a dramatic effect on a sportsman performance, particularly at the elite level.

More discounting the sudden claims by certain people here that they knew two days ago but didn't speak up until now for "fear of ridicule"...despite the Deledio announcement providing them with the perfect segue....

very true, i don't get the flu shot anymore as everytime i did i get a bloody cold, then that makes my asthma play up & a 3-4 day bug becomes a 3-4 month illness etc....

It was the 'crap game plan flu' all player were affected apparently spread to the players by Hardwick

Sounds like we are being ridiculed irrespective of the timing . You should thank us - imagine how stroppy you'd have been if we spoke up when we knew?

I went to the game - players looked off but no more than the Hawks were the previous week. Whether it was flu related or intensity was down doesn't really matter.
Crows were the opposite - almost fanatical pressure on us and our kick outs went back to the dark days.

If true the Club hasn't used it as excuse and quite rightly so.

Don't want to hear it to be honest

No excuse for that effort on Friday, you cross the line you are right to go and you give your all

We weren't good enough and now just sit inside the 8 when if we a real top 4 chance we'd actually be 4th

you can give your all, all you want, but if you hampered by illness, your all wont be all that flash.

As I've said, we really dont know what the story is, but these viruses take a lot out you, even the more benighn ones that cause the "cold",  and at this level you dont have to drop off by much to be shown up.

If true, it as a valid reason to explain why they were so flat, but I'm glad we have not had any comment from the club about it.
