TRIPLE premiership star Chris Johnson says sacked Gold Coast speedster Harley Bennell could be the missing link for Richmond. The Tigers are one of several clubs eyeing off Bennell, and the Suns say he will go to the highest bidder.

Barrett tonight claiming Bennell (currently back home in WA) would prefer to stay in WA and play for Freo. However, those close to him think it's better for him to get away from his home state and play for a Melbourne club. Richmond, the club showing the most interest.

HARLEY Bennell’s lap of the show ring has begun with Fremantle and Richmond the first to meet with him while two other clubs have made inquiries about the troubled former Sun.

... the Suns believe the Dockers and Tigers have already met with Bennell.

The Kangaroos and Geelong have also made inquiries.

Despite Hawthorn’s attempts to distance themselves from any links with Bennell, the Suns believe they are still interested.

IF .... Harley Bennell gets his way ...    

THEN ... he'll be playing in his home state next year, for Freo. If those who have what they know to be his best interests at heart, then he'll be based in Victoria. Watch Richmond in this space.
