GOLD Coast midfielder Harley Bennell is free to pursue a trade to a new club after settling a public nuisance charge out of court.

Bennell has reportedly already held talks with Fremantle and Richmond ahead of the AFL trade period beginning in October.

I am all for getting Bennell. Thing  i am asking myself is what ever happened to the no dick heads policy of the club. Seems it is only ever applied to justify what they do or dont do.

Things are different now. We were so low we could build ourselves up by playing it safe and going after players you knew what you were going to get from (whether it be a lot or a little). Now that we are in the middle bracket it is now time to take more risks

Lol i have seen all sorts of justifications of what the club does but this is truly golden. What's the point i cant keep on arguing with this sort of rubbish.  im putting on the rose coloured glasses finding some mind numbing drugs so i dont have to think and joining the flower sniffer brigade. Delusion just has to be less stressful.

The club's not stupid.

They know all they have to do is put Martin and Bennell on the streets in the off season......a mil here...a mil there....bang - there's the overheads for the year.
