Interestingly the AFL website says that Adelaide may consider on tradng pick no 17

Watts traded to St Kilda
1:00:40 PM Tue 4 October, 2005
Matt Burgan
Sportal for afl.com.au

Adelaide is now considering if it will on-trade selection No.17 or save the pick for the 2005 NAB AFL Draft.

 :rollin

The Pies drafted Cole with a first round pick (11) and put 4 years effort in to him then let him go for a second round pick. Brilliant recruiting there from the Pies :lol.

Sheeds is one smart cookie. Do a supposedly pointless late pick swap in a deal yet by doing so he picks up #51 which turns out is the last third round selection. So he may now be able to pick up Jay Neagle under the F/S rule using this late third round pick rather than their original one (#39).

I think the rule is you have to use the original 3rd round pick!

Can someone, anyone explain to me what North are actually doing and how they can afford to do what they are doing even though they appear to not know what they are doing ?  :help :o

They are still after Hay but have traded away their pick 13 that they at a minimum needed to get Hay :-\ I know they intend to pay more in TPP in 2006 but really how can they afford it? Oh yeah AFL handouts - sill me :rollin :help

That's what I would like to know. I heard earlier this year that the Roos were already paying 97% or thereabouts of the cap already. They'll be up with the most expensive lists if they get Hay. The CBF is meant to allow poorer to compete not gain a easy advantage over clubs who spend their own money.

As for what the Roos are doing WP, you're guess is as good as mine. Seems Laidley just picks names out of hat as they have been mentioned in nearly every trade this week ???. Laidley = Spud #2 ;).
