Nice RFC..Just nice.....
ESSENDON, Port Adelaide,
Richmond and St Kilda have been fined $2500 for failing to provide up-to-date player whereabouts information to ASADA.
Under the AFL anti-doping code all clubs must keep ASADA notified of the whereabouts of listed players for testing purposes.
AFL players may be tested 365 days of the year for WADA-prohibited drugs.
AFL general counsel Andrew Dillon said although no tests were missed the sanction was appropriate because anti-doping rules must be complied with at all times.
He also said each club sanctioned had tried to keep all details up to date through regular reminders to their players, but the penalty served notice that every rule must be followed.
Essendon players are facing a nervous wait for the decision of an ASADA appeal to an AFL Anti-Doping Tribunal's decision in relation to the Bombers' supplement program in 2012.
That appeal is due to be heard in November
