Nothing to get real excited about. I reckon his rep was overblown by a couple of really good games in 2003. This season, I think he missed a few games with injury, but his season was not wrecked by it. Average footballer and if we are giving up pick 40, we are mad.

Haynes is a good honest VFL player - nothing more than that.

Got towelled up when playing for the Bendigo Bummers in the VFL finals against an opponent with more desire.

Not worth 40, let alone pick 80.

Agree Darth. Haynes would just become another Coburg player.

No fringe players thank you. We made the right decision the first time around.

The fact that i don't even remember him playing for us says a lot IMO.

He was an elevated rookie along with Vardy in the 2000 draft. Played about 5 senior games for us.

The Age claims we "are speaking to Essendon about Ben Haynes, the midfielder who started his career in yellow and black before re-emerging at Windy Hill as a rookie in 2003".

Richmond shoudnt be countenancing either Green or Haynes which have been muted. The bringing back of Haynes in particular would be a dead set joke and an embarrassment to our club.

We already have recievers like Raines, Roach, Tivendale, wtf could Ben Haynes offer us? I wouldn't give up an 8th round pick for him.

Take this with a grain of salt as it comes from a Bombers' forum but a guy on bomberblitz said Haynes was a Punt Road Oval yesterday morning and Haynes said he was meeting with Wallace and doing a medical/fitness test.

:help

Agree John, why do we need another flanker and one who will spend his whole time at Coburg :banghead. We need KPPs!
