pretty shrewd pick up by the tigers :shh , put a top 10 draftee amongst some AA quality back in his home town and whoa, anything is possible :clapping

Yes, it is very shrewd indeed. They have found a cheap way to add another first round draft pick to the list  :thumbsup

The video of Moore shows he knows where the goals are under pressure and at distance.  I have a strange feeling they might use him as a pressure small forward to rotate through midfield.  Not so much as an in and under bloke.

Mmmm bit tall. Does he play small? Could still play as a small forward if so
I was just trying to think outside the box, that maybe they could use him switching up with Dusty or something now that the bench rotations are dropping.  He did look like he knew where the goals were.  Built like a brick poohouse.  More likely he will be Thomas's replacement sitting in the seconds unless someone comes up broken down.

Andrew Moore ready to continue family tradition at the Tigers, wants to cement spot in midfield

RICHMOND’S latest recruit Andrew Moore says he’s confident his best football is ahead of him, as he prepares to start preseason training at Punt Road.

Speaking to FIVEaa in Adelaide on Monday, Moore said he was determined to cement his position as an inside midfielder at Richmond, alongside the likes of Cotchin, Martin and Miles.

“I’ve had quite an interrupted career thus far due to some injuries,” Moore said.

“I’ve been able to play some decent SANFL football, but I found it quite tough to translate it up to the AFL level.

“It’s going to be a focus for me to try and emulate that form in the AFL.”

After being recruited to Richmond as a delisted free agent, Moore said coach Damien Hardwick allayed some of his nerves with a phone call on Friday.

“He welcomed me to the club and said, ‘you’re here to play AFL football and play that inside role’,” Moore said.

“And that’s where I think I play my best football.”

Moore — who played 55 games with Port Adelaide — continues the family tradition at Richmond.

His older brother, Kelvin, played 87 games in the yellow and black from 2004-2012.

“I’ve obviously got a bit of a soft spot for Richmond because of my brother,” Moore said.

“I spent a bit of time in the rooms after the games (as a teenager).”

So Derwood already has a stuffing spud who couldn't get a game in a side that finished below us basically penciled in for our first 22? Awesome....

Damien believes that as a coach, he has that X factor one needs to be able to
get below average players to play at an average level.
It's all in his favorite book, "The Laws of Mediocrity".

the first place?
