Breaking out: The youngsters from your club who will step up in 2016

Richmond

It wasn't the debut season first-round draft pick Corey Ellis anticipated, with the skillful midfielder affected by a string of injuries that started with a pre-season foot problem that needed surgery. He missed four games mid-year with a hip problem before being sent in for a season-ending foot operation after a one-game return in the VFL. All up he managed six AFL games after being drafted with pick No.12 in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft and will be desperate for a better 2016 after arriving at the club with big raps.

Forward Liam McBean is entering his fourth season and will need to start demanding senior games given he's played just two.

While mature-aged midfielder Kane Lambert – who has already been promoted to the senior list -looks set for more opportunities after his strong finish to season 2015.

C Ellis will impress and Castagna will be the smokey... :thumbsup

Also think Lennon will show why we kept him and Astbury will show why he stayed..

Can't wait to see C Ellis and Lennon in the same side. Both beautiful kicks and very balanced players. George is the one that may surprise some here. Has been working on his skills and looks set for a big preseason. Exciting times ahead if we can keep certain players on the park to help fast track their development.

Ellis and Lennon will become regulars.

Lambert will keep improving and stay in the 22.

McBean hopefully will play some games - but at whose expense? Griffiths? Vickery looks solid. Maric 1st ruck, although shaky IMO. Can you play all four 200cm blokes in the same side? Admittedly they all play very different football.

Hopefully Astbury comes good as 2nd KPD, Chaplin plays 3rd KPD/loose man/3rd up, Grimes plays mid/small/rebounding defender. Maybe we should draft Kieran Collins, give him a year to develop while Chaplin finishes up...

 :lol :lol :lol :lol ::)

I hope Dan Butler makes it too Dioc, especially because I we need a small forward but I don't want Ah Chee. I just assume a better player will be available at our pick

Butler can also rotate through the midfield as Ah Chee would eventually....I'd be happy with Ah Chee because he reminds me of Burgoyne more than say, Wingard or Garlett.......his footskills are sublime, we need more of that just as much as we need more inside mids, KPD's & rucks.....too many shyte kicks and turnover merchants are what's killing us as much as anything....if only we had a couple of more picks in the top 20.....
