Didn't worry about all these fancy names when we were playing footy, just wrap a bit of tape around it and back on the paddock next week

Yep the current generation is bloody soft. Hang on.....can i say 'bloody' or does that offend people?

Minimum six months off......

fair dinkum?

who has had something similar?

IIRC a long time back Richo had the same injury, did it at Etihad

He missed 6 months

And Yeahright, yes Pettard had other complications, bone from big toe to his foot stuffed as well

Any difference between it happening from stress or trauma/impact?

Speaking generally from my experience, trauma is more likely to be displaced = (likely) surgery which often is a longer recovery time. But there are just so many other factors that come into it

“(Rioli) had a couple of screws in his foot, it wasn’t the navicular. He will be off it for a while. He is in a boot but we expect him to be playing early,’’ Balme said.

Don't believe what you read....

Apparently FB was more accurate. Said surgeon unhappy with operation and may need to reoperate.
