Agreed, he looks completely lost as an AFL footballer atm
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Looks completely listless, has lost all touch and is low on confidence. Problem is that we have a system which relies heavily on work rate, essentially the forwards working their butts off in unison to create turnovers, they simply aren't working hard enough or smart enough at the moment to create the turnovers which is putting more pressure on our wingers and midfielders as the ball is rebounding from our forward 50 too easily.

I don't think our fitness base is good enough at the minute to execute our gut running style of play hence we have passengers who are providing the holes for the opposition to run through, Rioli being one of a few offenders.

Maybe he’s checked out with the impending arrival of Maurice Rioli Jr?

Yes - then watch MJ nominate Freo... :shh

...also you never trade a Rioli after less than 100 games... :shh :shh

Thoughts on Rioli's comeback game?

17 disposals (9k, 8h, 8c, 9u, 53%)
4 marks
2 clearances
5 tackles (2 tackles inside 50)
312 metres gained
1 inside 50
1 score involvement

His stats make him look like he did ok and probably keeps his spot.

But whilst watching the game the only other two players that frustrated me more were Soldo and Eggs.

He played well! How many times did he provide an option on the wing (as per his role) when required? Many...
His gut running was also a feature of his return last night. Some people...geez :banghead

Always take great interest on your comments/observations

But even taking on board your comments this time

I was still disappointed. Number of times refused to attack the contest, sorted back waiting for others to go the tackle. Disposal was terrible. There was one momentum killer where he tried to centre the ball into the corridor and under no pressure kicked it straight to the opposition and the got a goal....

He is a miles off the player he was on 2017 and even 2019 land he was great last year)
