Reserved Seating
« on: October 24, 2005, 05:27:26 PM »
Just wondered if anyone else has been able to get a reserved seat in the new stand?

I along with the other 3 people i sit with applied about 3 months ago and have been lucky enough to score a seat in N54 which is level 2 of the new stand between the forward pocket and 50m mark. It is also undercover which is the same as what i had in level 2 of the southern stand. The big bonus is that i will no longer have to contend with the sun shinning right in my eyes and going home with a headache from it. >:(

I am really looking forward to the start of next season so i can sit in my new seat  :thumbsup

Will find out this week. Like you Bully I'm hoping to get a seat in roughly the same spot but opposite side of the ground to where I sat in the Southern stand. I think the seats in the new stand are the same as the ones in the new Ponsford stand which are alot more comfortable than the Southern stand seats. Especially a lot more leg room :thumbsup.

Still in the same spot at Colonial.

They will be having some corporate stuff over in the new stand Moi, maybe they might move the players link over there also.

I am rapt about the new position, it will be fantastic.

nah the majority of the Player Link seats are still in the Southern Stand, though Player Link is getting a bigger function room for the pre-match & half time functions now the President's Lunch is moving to one of the fuction rooms in the new stand.

Maybe you can somehow sneak into a Prez lunch Bull and gives us run down  :thumbsup ;D

Have heard only good things about the new stand - it's just a pity that they didn't put change rooms in the new stand (where the old tiger ones used to be) so the move back to that side of the ground would be really complete to the Tiger faithful

Yeah me and mate have got seats right at the front in the southern atm with the 2 young ones. They like it and I dont mind being on the fence.

But being an MCC member have been in the new seats and a lot more comfortable they are. I have only reserved for MCG but am looking to at least upgrade to seats at Telstra scum for Home games as the joint is a friggin hassle. Will have to drag the mate into punt road and see if we can organise the same spotish over in the northern stand. Should be a lot better especially on those sunny winter days hey bull  :thumbsup

Big new changerooms will be there WP. The players will have a ramp for access like at TD. The coaches boxes will be on the wing, level 2.  :thumbsup

Yeah i think there is a change room there also which is located down the other end of the ground though(Ponsford End). I could be wrong.

Yeah that's what I thought Bully. Around the Ponsford end side of the new MCC members. I think that gap up at the Punt Road goals end is only for the Commonwealth games so they could fit the 100m track in. IIRC we will be still using the Southern stand changerooms.

You're right Bull - the new room is in the Ponsford stand -  down around where the cricketers used to come on to the ground from. I think the Pies will be using those ones

Yes we are keeping our rooms in the Southern Stand - been all "Tigerised" :thumbsup
