So why didn't Richmond play out of their skins to make amends for their last of three consecutive elimination losses.

Carlton played out of their skins and would've given most sides a contest tonight, their list , a bit like Port's when Hinkley took over, is perhaps not as bad as everyone thinks - we'll see once the initial  boost of a regime change wears off I guess ..but there were plenty of worrying signs for us - most of them still worryingly familiar after 6 full seasons and into our 7th , but one or two  good ones as well......good to see some of the depth stand up for once ...blokes like Lambert & Lloyd -both of whom who I've never really rated (and still won't until they consistently perform).....Menadue will be a star, Rioli's tackle, C.Ellis showed glimpses of his class and will only get better........ Martin looks set to explode... ..Rance just keeps getting better ...freak.....while there's no doubt we were fairly putrid at times and only a true imbecile would argue otherwise,  it's never not good to beat Carlton....

Anyway we'll soon find out if this was the kick up the arse we needed or the shape of things to come....

C. Ellis , Menadue  and Rioli may all go on and have fine careers but at the moment it's definitely boys vs men.

Just looking at the stats from last nights game and we had an amazing 53 clangers. I wonder what the record is for the highest amount of clangers and still winning the game.

Agree with all but the bit about Lloyd, thought he was great in the last but was MIA for most of the game.  Cost us a goal late too which bought the ,arginine back to less than 2 goals

What's that big sissy girl griffiths done tonight lads. Wasn't he one of the few that was training the house down along with Morris and Conca

I haven't watched the replay. Always like comparing what the TV shows to what you actually see at the ground

But just on Griffiths, I thought he was a our best ruckman on the night. Thought he worked really hard at stoppages. Didn't hit the scoreboard himself but was involved in at least 3 goal assists that I can remember

Our effort was extremely poor but I'll bank the 4 points

What was one of the biggest concerns to me was how slow Carlton made us look. Chasing tails constantly can do that

Thought Connor Menadue was the highlight for mine. He was excellent, his run and courage is first class. Yes made some blues but they will decrease with more exposure to this level

Concerned about Edwards, was really favouring that shoulder after taking a couple of hits to it late in the game

Will be very interested to see what they do next week at the selection table. Even is Lids, Maric (showed again last night how important he is just for leadership) and possible Grigg are still not available. Some blokes shouldn't get gigs next week

Menadue was fairly handy

Worst Richmond team selected since the Melbourne debacle last year.

We looked gone - not once but at least 3 times.

Lambert was fantastic. Lloyd must play every week. He just kicks goals.

Still unconvinced Astbury is a better option than Chaplin.

Houli and Brandon Ellis were very ordinary

Cotchin looked second rate compared to Murphy .

Rioli is not ready.

Carlton is no longer the basket case they were last year.

I honestly can't believe we got out of jail . Just relieved we have four points.

Yeah well I was there last night too. Carlton were very good, in fact they were better when they moved the ball. We just couldn't get our plan going if there was plan.
