In terms of points conceded  .....

3 rd most miserly defence in 2013
8 th most miserly defence in 2014
3 rd most miserly defence in 2015

So naturally Champion data ranks Richmond 7th  :wallywink :help ::)

They are statistical facts over a 66 game period.

The stats are pumped up by a defensive, ineffective game plan ala kicking to th pockets and hoping to get a throw in

Get Hurley

Player for player hawthorns defence has never been what I'd term elite but as a group they are awesome. Similarly as a group we have a good defence/defensive setup, even though there is some perceived individual weaknesses there

They are statistical facts over a 66 game period.

Hunt hasn't been here for 66 matches...try again, protected troll.

No-one is saying we are hawthorn, merely stating you don't need to have the best players individually for a defence to be very good. The fact of the matter is, collectively, our defence has statistically proven to be very good over the past 3 years. I know that doesn't sit well with the whole chaplin, Grigg, Houli thing you have going, but meh it is what it is.

It's very harsh on rance to expect him to carry to duds year upon year.

Geez you love taking discussions into BS territory

Grimes Rance Astbury
Houli Chaplin Vlastuin

Hopefully soon, Broad replaces Chaplin. Otherwise I'm confident that is a good back 6.

Batch hunt Morris? That's old news
