I agree he hasnt been good and struggled today BUT he was asked to play tall and to compete on Talia in the air which is just ridiculous. He's still finding his feet as a mid/fwd let alone having to then step up and play as a decoy tall fwd.

It was almost as frustrating as watching conca and Ellis rotating on and off jenkins

Match up wasn't great.  He cannot compete against taller marking players, he got targeted a lot for some dirty rough play, had his nose smashed, got choked by some prick and it was all kosher apparently.
Lots of people name their swords......

Not playing well but as already noted was made to look worse by having high balls put in his head against Talia/ Lever etc.

Him, Caddy and Martin need to learn to get on their bike in that situation and stop playing from behind trying to nudge their opponent under the ball. Lazy football imo.

A couple of weeks back in the backline is what I'd do. He is confident there as he has shown that the last few years.
Then slowly introduce him back into the midfield rotations once he gets a bit of touch back.

Unfortunately our depth doesn't allow us to play him in the twos at this stage and I personally don't think his form has even warranted that.

Except after his first year or so he loved the safety of defense with the gutless half back safety chip. Do we want to go back to this cancer of a game plan? We didnt try to move him fwd for good looks. There was a reason.

Beginning to think he should just be moved on. Not the first cab off the rank though.

Not sure I get what you are saying?
Vlastuin has nothing to do with the game plan.
I'm sure if he was played back for a couple of weeks he would play our new style of attacking footy.

Disagree-  Corey Ellis is ready to go.

Has vlastuin ever really stood out ? I think he's a solid player but maybe just a role player down back. I was hoping he could become a contested machine in the mid but so far not so good.

Let's face it, he's overrated by all on this forum. Doesn't make him a bad footballer but he is no more a key player than Reece Conca.
People on this forum won't like the comparison because it makes them look stupid but it's the truth.
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

I still believe in Vlastuin. He was capt of vic metro and a clearance machine as a junior. You don't capt vic metro if you are a potato. He needs to be played in his natural position. Either on ball or half back. To be honest i would actually have prestia more forward and keep vlastuin at the coal face as he clearly prefers the more physical stuff
