Contested Football obsession..
« on: April 22, 2016, 10:56:10 PM »
If only we had a dollar for every time Hardwick mentioned contested possessions. Whole game plan is based on this. Win contested possession, obtain possession and keep possession. Simple rubbish.

Hawthorn 2016 games contested win/loss ratio
Round 1: Won by 25 = Win
Round 2: Lost by 19 = Loss
Round 3: Lost by 29 = Win
Round 4: Lost by 15 = Win
Round 5: Lost by 16 = Win

We won contested ball vs Collingwood and Adelaide.

Get a clue Dimma, more to the game than contested possessions.

We need to evolve with the rest of the competetion. Contested Possessions won't guarantee a win like it just about used too. Wayne Campbell role used to be about keeping our team up with the latest evolution of the game. Who is in this role now, who ever it is has failed miserably. We are always last to evolve.
Go Tigers!

How about some contested tackling pressure, we are obsessed with inside mids where the better side all get in and tackle in packs
The basketball style of game we play needs a lot work
Notice Hawthorn was man on man at the end of the game

Oh for gods sake don't talk about tackling making a difference. Apparently tackling to some here doesn't contribute to winning games... :whistle

sounds like some new dance steps

two steps back, one step forward
three steps back 1 step forwards.
spin around rapidly 5 times and crash to the floor.

That's how you do the tiger tango.

You bring Morris in
You keep McBean out
You hold Houli in
And the result is not in doubt
You do the hokey hardwick
And he turns around...and says
That's what Richmonds about
