BANG! Griffiths launches from outside 50 and nails it. Just what we need heading into halftime.

HT:

Our endeavour and effort can't be questioned, but we just need to improve our effectiveness going forward.

3QT: @sandyzebs miss just before the siren and after an ill-disciplined start we cut the margin to 21 points. 10.9.69 to 7.6.48 #gotiges
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Short - played a great game as a small back. Kicking a highlight. Well done!
Griffiths - Played his best game ever! started forward but it was when he went and played CHB he was fantastic. Contested marking a feature :clapping A few poor decisions but he was a positive today.
Soldo - played a great first half and kicked a magnificent goal banana kick style. Slowed down in the second but is developing and is already better than Hmapson :shh
Elton - was solid and took some impressive contested marks. Dropped a few easy marks but is getting to the right spots on the ground. He is a better option than Chaplin
C. Moore - ok and has something to work with.

The rest of the team played poor. Butler...........don't think he touched the ball all game :-\
McBean.........no good at all.

Popped in to watch the last quarter  :P and it was an exact copy of what the seniors dished up later in the night. One team (Sandy) playing football  and moving the ball easily from one end of the ground to the other with just 3 kicks, while the other (us) played handball via the wing to flat-footed teammates under pressure. As a result there was no forward structure or forwards leading up on the lead. Not to mention one VFL-listed player missing an open goal from 15m out.
