Found : Northern waters.
Notes : Spinefoot are also known as rabbit fish and happy moments. They have a number of venomous spines and it you are spiked they cause intense pain. Try not to handle these fish, simply cut your line and let them go.
Our Experiences : We have caught a number of these in the north west and even though we have been told they make good eating, the chance of getting spiked is not worth the risk. We just cut our lines without bringing the fish into the boat.
