“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

I don't hold Townsend in the same group as Hunt and Morris.

He is still young and was a reasonable junior. With the right development, he could be a useful player.

Hunt, Morris, Chaplin et al are in a the group that have reached their zenith and are now in decline.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

You see I'd have thought Gunt, Morris & Chappy would be salivating at the prospect of mentoring young Townsend to be the next generation of them.
Makes me feel like Woodrow just thinking about it.

Moore > Chaplin

It's marginal....

I'd disagree, Chaplin just (usually) plays in a more vulnerable position. Then again asking which one you prefer is just like asking this question "would you rather eat a d**k and sit on a cake, or eat a cake and sit on a d**k"
