He actually got up in front of 100 supporters at the 3121 pre game function and said " I have not had a plate inserted "
Otherwise he would of played last Friday
It's a small break that didn't require a plate , they just popped out the fracture and realigned it
Now can you read what I just said ?
I
Or are you going to be a typical keyboard warrior and abuse me

Have a players only team meeting during the week, work out a game plan amongst the players without Hardwick, ignore what Hardwick and runners say during the game, don't come off the ground if you are on a hot streak, if we win the toss kick with the wind.

Think that's practically what they already do, hence why the players have NFI

The Barometer - Round 8

Herald-Sun
9 May 2016

RICHMOND

ON THE BLOCK: On the block? How about everyone? The coaches are, the players are and the recruiters are. Damien Hardwick described a 46-point loss to Hawthorn — the Tigers’ sixth consecutive defeat — a step forward, which tells you everything. Jake Batchelor looked like he might add to the list of absentees when he left the ground with a knee injury, but was able to return soon after.

ON THE CUSP:
Thankfully, there’s a returning cast on the horizon. Alex Rance is back from suspension, Dylan Grimes will be back from a hamstring injury and skipper Trent Cotchin told a pre-match function on Friday night he would play — a statement later validated by Hardwick. Will be intriguing to see whether Ivan Maric returns after being dropped for the Hawks, as was David Astbury. Both played in the club’s VFL loss to Port Melbourne, but neither set the world on fire.

SAM EDMUND’S FORECAST: There will be no Leicester miracle for Richmond. Now a miserable 1-6 and miles from where it expected to be, it comes up against a rampant Sydney at the MCG. The Tigers have won their last two against the Swans, but had also won three of the last four against Hawthorn and what did that count for? Tried to get away its stodgy ball movement ways against the Hawks and looked noticeably quicker with the ball. But that was offset by the fact they conceded 21 goals, nine in the last quarter and 12 of the last 15. It’s hard to be a glass half-full when your glass is empty.

Cotch also said it on "Game Day" on Sunday morning. He said it was keyhole surgery and the hole was around the temple area.

It would be unusual for him to play this week given that fractures take 6 weeks to heal and there is no plate to make sure the bone isn't dislodged again through a knock to the face.

I guess funnier things have happened…..

In the mix: round seven

Nathan Schmook

10 May 2016[/i]

RICHMOND

The cavalry is arriving for Richmond, with All Australian defender Alex Rance returning from suspension and captain Trent Cotchin sure to be back from a fractured cheekbone.

Cotchin visited his surgeon on Monday but appears determined to return after missing one match and has declared himself fit.

Defender Dylan Grimes is also available after missing five matches with a hamstring injury. He has been training at a high intensity for two weeks and should play at some level this weekend.

The big question will be around ruckman Ivan Maric, who was dropped to the VFL in round seven and struggled around the ground. He hasn't demanded a recall.

Taylor Hunt (25 possessions) was among the Tigers' best in the VFL.

Defender David Astbury also battled away in the reserves for the first time this season and is available.

Hunt will come in for a kid. Vlastuin will be moved back to defence for Cotchin.  :gotigers

Key defender Alex Rance will return following his two-week suspension, with in-form Buddy Franklin awaiting.

“He’s been terrific ... we’re very fortunate we’ve got a very good player in Alex Rance coming back in to help us combat that,” Hardwick said.

Ruckman Ivan Maric will be given more time in the VFL while Kane Lambert is still at least another week away from returning.
