They've blown a few loads over at PRE over this Bryce Campbell guy apparently, don't know anything about him!

Bryce Campbell is 21 (7/9/84) and played 17 games this year for Norwood.
 
He got reported and suspended for 3 weeks earlier in the year for putting a Central District player on a stretcher during a fight.

* Bryce Campbell - a recruit in previous years, has been nothing short of fantastic this year after cementing his place in the league side. His tackling and attack on the ball is inspiring and I really think for the first time in recent years we have a player who within the rules, hurts players when they are tackled. He also has opposition players just occasionally looking over their shoulder much like Centrals have with the Gowens brothers.

* Campbell adds that 'hard nut' to our side that we've been missing in the last couple of seasons.

* Ok after watching the first two games of the season proper one player who i love to watch is Bryce Campbell. This bloke gives his heart and soul to every contest and stands up to anyone. He didnt get much of a go in the first game and a little more time in the second but this bloke i rate very highly. I feel he should be on the ground at all times. I stated in one of my earlier posts that he could be a future captain, he has it all. Good skills, good pace, GUTS something that does not exist in all players and a down and under attitude at the ball.

Fair enough he did get reported but he stood up to all the centrals, still took on players knowing they wanted revenge after the incident, this boy can play. Does anyone else feel the same because i believe he is the future of this club.

TAKE three topline midfielders out of any team and it should struggle - but Norwood's Bryce Campbell refused to subscribe to this popular theory last Saturday.

With gun on-ballers Kris Massie and Scott Carslake late withdrawals before the game and the in-form Scott Borlace sidelined with a hamstring injury before half-time, the Redlegs looked shot.
But with 29 possessions and three goals against South Adelaide, Campbell showed his team-mates he wasn't about to give up as he played a major part in securing his club's fourth win in a row.

"It was a really good win considering we had all of those guys (Massie, Carslake, Borlace) out," Campbell, 20, said. "There's a lot of other players in the team who are just as capable of doing the same job and it was extremely pleasing that we don't have to rely on them."

Originally from Wagga Wagga, Campbell played a season with Eastlake in the ACT, the same club Redleg Robbie Neill played with earlier in his career.

As a result, Campbell has watched the former St Kilda grand final player very closely and he likes what he sees.

"It's just the way he (Neill) goes about it," Campbell, a storeman for an Adelaide stationer, said. "He has got a really good work ethic and is desperate to keep the ball in the forward lines with his second efforts and tackling." What Campbell won't admit to is that he is even harder at the ball, the almost shy left-footer getting a major dose of white-line fever each time he takes the field.

"It's the way I was brought up playing in the country," Campbell explained. "When you start playing senior football at the age of 16 it's the way you have to play."

Not concerned about individual goals, Campbell's main focus is to continue his team's charge toward September by earning a fifth consecutive win against Glenelg on Saturday. "I think so," Campbell said of finals being a reality for the Redlegs.

"But the competition is so even you can't get ahead of yourself. We've just got to focus on getting another win - so five wins would be great."

If he was a half decent footballer then you would think he would have been snapped up by one of the South Australian clubs who would get to watch him fairly regularly.

See how he goes, but I'm afraid we might have been here before (Tim Fleming).
