Five-point plan to save TigersHerald-Sun
6 June 2016HOW does Richmond climb out of its latest quagmire?
The Tigers are now 4-7 and need a miracle to make the finals.
The bigger view is more alarming Richmond is apparently stuck in no-mans land, not good enough to contend and not bad enough to bottom out and collect high draft picks.
So where do they go from here?
Anthony Hudson, Sam Edmund and Michael Warner have the Tigers at the top of the agenda for this weeks episode of the SuperFooty Podcast and Mick has a five-point plan he wants the club to adopt. And one of the points is not sacking coach Damien Hardwick.
Podcast: https://soundcloud.com/thesuperfootypodcast/superfooty-pod-r115 point plan1. Cull list cloggers now! - Chaplin out, Batchelor & Hunt (both never seen again), Astbury (although they may want trade currency). Also Houli and Morris would be culled if they weren't injured.
2. Bring in the kids - Elton, McBean, Cal Moore, Drummond, Butler. Play them and find out how they go.
3. Find a senior assistant coach like Brendon Sanderson and put him in the box next to Dimma.
4. Sack one or both of recruiting team Francis Jackson and Blair Hartley.
5. Need to be aggressive trading out players and finish low. No point finishing up the ladder. "List manage tanking" to get pick 3.
