Best 22 for 2006?
« on: December 14, 2005, 05:21:49 AM »
How do you guys think we'll line up next year?

Here's mine with Sarge, Polo, Paddy and Patto in the possies that Tezza and co according to reports want them to play.

B:    Hartigan,  Gas, Kellaway
HB:  Johnson, Schulz, J.Bowden
C:    Newman, Cogs, P.Bowden
HF:  Pettifer, Richo, Tambling
F:  Browny, Pattison, Krakouer
R: Simmonds,  Lids, Tuck

Int:  Hall, Hyde, Polo, Rodan

emg: Knobel, Thursfield, Chaffey

Razor a spare tall defender, Hyde to rotate with Newman with run-with tagging roles replacing Chaffey and Polo to allow Cogs a rest in the middle.  Knobel is the back-up ruckman behind Simmonds and Patto while Thirsty is back-up for Chubba.

---------------------------------------

Coburg: Stafford, Tivendale, Jackson, Limbach, McGuane, Meyer, Moore, Raines, Roach, Foley, Oakley-Nicholls, Hughes, Casserley, White.

Pretty much agree with you on this MT, except

I doubt P Bowden will be played on a wing, Pattison will be given CHF, Thursfield on the bench in place of Rodan, Raines as an emergency ahead of Chaffey and Knobel on the bench instead of Hyde (you need 2 ruckman at least in your starting 22 IMO, and Pattison is not ready to be backup ruckman.

I think Staff will get a fair go in the senior side, wouldn't have kept him around simply to plod around in Coburg!
