The joke was on Richmond’s Brett Deledio after he tried to prank Tiger Dylan Grimes

ON the football field he is a star but Richmond’s Brett Deledio may need to do some work on his prank game.

When the Richmond players returned from the bye during the week, Deledio planned a special welcome back present for one of his young teammates.

“I tried to just have a bit of a gag with my locker mate Dylan Grimes,” Deledio said on AFL Game Day.

“I dipped his (car) key in a bit of tuna just to make it smell like fish.”

But that is where the prank went belly up for the star midfielder.

“Unfortunately, it was an electronic key and $800 later I am paying for his key to be fixed.”

Deledio also confirmed he won’t be spending any money at former teammate Jake King’s new tattoo studio.

“I’ve got a saying that you don’t put bumper stickers on a Maserati,” he joked. “I will not be getting any ink.”
