I'd actaully like them to see if they can get Longer fro mthe Saints to fill the issues we have with our ruck stocks. He's still young but been in the system a few years now, so can step right in (why they didnt try 2 years ago beggars belief). Dropped down the pecking order so would be looking for opportunities elsewhere

Ellis B for Longer would solve 2 problems  ;D

Yep, we should definitely look at Longer. Any idea what his contact situation is?

According to this article, out of contract at the end of this season. They traded for him end of 2013, initially signing him for 2 years and then extended that by an extra year at the end of 2014

Has been seeing specialists about issues sustained from concussion, I'd steer clear on this one.
The possibility of physical and mental collapse is now very real. No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride.

Agree to steer clear, If he is so good, why is he available?

Possible alternate ruck stocks
Stefan Martin Bris
Tom Nicholls GCS
Leuenberger Ess

Are there any likely Ruckmen running around in SANFL or WAFL or VFL

Yes Stalin but what else is there? There must be some big bloke out there who wants a go who is not on a list, gee we missed on Mumford or similar

I am sure the brains trust at RFC have the situation under control considering how well they have organised our talent depth. :whistle

In reality we need to give McBean, Elton and Soldo a decent run and see what happens or am I being a dreamer?

the burger is nearly as good at standing by watching the contest unfold after the ruck contest as Hampson
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Dawes from Melbourne. Premiership player. Can replace Jack Riewoldt. If that falls through.
If anything if Pav retires from Freo why don't we coax him East for a year.
Sure it's 16 years too late but he'll finally be in our colours after the Fiorandebacle.
Better late than never chums.

Daniel Merrett would be handy and he can DJ in the MRC post match.

Farren Ray should be a target also.

Spangher I hear is a great clubman and Premiership player.

Lastly if we have salary cap room after this Trav Cloke, Brent Stanton and one of Mark Jamar, Andrew Boston or  Ben Sinclair.

Would be prepared to even look at any masters leagues for possible ruck recruits, would be an upgrade

We have good prospects coming through but let's not do the typical Richmond thing and start overrating the list again on the back of that..we still need at least one ready made A - grade mid...depth is still a massive issue...

Mid is maybe the least required of the 4
