Is 7-9 flattering ?
« on: July 21, 2016, 11:58:30 AM »
Looking back over the season so far.....

Perhaps we got Sydney at a good time - we certainly haven't been able to replicate that form since.
2 unconvincing victories over Essendon .
We have been thrashed by Port twice - and the're not even in the eight.
Lucky to beat Carlton - Ditto Gold Coast.

I'm sure I've seen this season before when Terry was coach.

For Geez sake the club has been struck down with many injuries this year. What the hell do some supporters expect when that happens. So we had a poo year & now its time to play those who we need to see where they are at in their careers. Who to keep & who to trade & those who are simply not up to it anymore or never have been. Then we have some muppet building a website & facebook page to bring in someone who can run a business & knows everything about a football club. If the horses are injured they will not run. It don't matter who is running the admin side of things.

Just a bad season get over it. Bring on the youngsters & next season

I don't think many are of the opinion this has been a positive season. Anything less than top 4 finish was going to be a failure.

Are we flattered where we sit at the moment? Don't think so.

Collingwood and Melbourne sit above us on 7 wins as well, we're above Gold Coast and Carlton (even if we were lucky we did beat them so should sit above them). We're sitting about where we should be at the moment.

Yes but we lost to collingwood by a kick. The real test is what if we kicked straight and everybody else did too then we'd be about the same number of wins. See the age article I'll see if I can find a link.  As such I think we are where we deserve to be.

The post is even worse when you name names.

I can cop the bad year as long as the list is scrutinised at years end but I won't cop pathetic excuses like "injuries" as to why this club has let down all/most of its members.
