Brett Deledio's calf injury has ended his season.
Brett Deledio is out of football indefinitely with Richmond unable to put a timeframe on their vice-captain's return.

Deledio missed the club's loss to Hawthorn on Sunday having hurt his calf the previous weekend against Essendon.

Coach Damien Hardwick said last week that he would not rule Deledio out for the remainder of the season despite the Tigers being out of finals contention.

Experienced defender Bachar Houli got through his VFL return on the weekend after missing half the season with a wrist injury. Youngster Ben Lennon will miss three weeks with an ankle issue suffered in the VFL, while injury prone defender Dylan Grimes will be assessed during the week after experiencing hamstring tightness against the Hawks.

Petrie in doubt for Boomer's record breaking game
The Deledio news tops a big day in AFL injury developments, with Collingwood "very concerned" for defender Ben Sinclair who suffered his fourth concussion this year.

And North Melbourne may lose key forward Drew Petrie for Brent Harvey's AFL record-breaking match this weekend.

Petrie trained with a guard on his left wrist and appeared to only want to use his right hand to mark after hurting it in Friday night's win over Collingwood.
