Worth dropping a bit further?
« on: July 31, 2016, 11:27:23 PM »
Couldn't care less what happens for the rest of the year result-wise as long as we're playing the kids.

But with finals obviously not happening should we try to drop down the ladder a bit more? Carlton and GCS are both 4 points and very little % below us, with winnable games against Essendon and Brisbane etc.

Should we drop a couple more spots to get pick four instead of pick six?

Yes, but we still have to at least be competitive and/or look like a promising team. If we want to get talent into the team (whether its Hurley, Prestia, Fyfe, Me, whoever the hell you're thinking) then we have to at least be appealing to them and not look like a basket case filled with list clogging plodders. This does go somewhat hand in hand with your "as long as we're playing the kids" comment.

I don't think we can drop any further as the melt downs on here would be unbearable

Melt downs are amaze balls tho....

It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

So basically:

- play the kids
- look competitive & promising
- lose games

Sounds about right to me

we can put up with 4 "honerable losses" but repeats of last week are inexcusable

Should be giving all our stars an early mark...what's to gain from one of them getting injured or running them into the ground at this point? Expose the depth & the kids and see how they fend for themselves without the usual 4 or 5 blokes carrying them....
