Terry Wallace anticipates Treloar v Cotchin IIJoshua Papanikolaou

01 Aug 2016, 12:51PMRichmond is under immense pressure after copping a hammering on the weekend and another poor showing against Collingwood later in the week would rub salt into the wounds at Punt Road.
After a torrid first half of the season the Magpies have found some form and will be keen to double up against the Tigers this year following their Round 2 victory by a just point.
In the latter stages of that match Trent Cotchin unfortunately jumped the gun to sledge Adam Treloar about choosing the wrong team, a topical debate that will likely be re-ignited this week.
“The interesting thing on Friday night will be the little interaction between Trent Cotchin and Adam Treloar if you remember how the game finished last time,” said Terry Wallace on SEN radio.
“Cotchin went to Treloar with about five minutes before the end and got into him about picking the wrong club.
“Then Treloar gave him a little rub of the head and said, I think you went off a little bit too early Cotch.
“So it will be interesting to see how they come up.”
It was confirmed on the weekend that there is a significant review of the football department being carried out at the Tigers.
Wallace conceded that the way Richmond has played this year all but proves that they had overestimated how far the core of this list could go towards being contenders.
“Yes, yeah I think he can (get the players back), but I think there needs to be a change-up,” he said of senior coach Damien Hardwick who is contracted for another two years.
“My concern at the moment with the Tigers is just that they’ve had most of their better players available.
“Richmond have got to change the look of it (the list) to get those good players back playing the way they want.
“I think so (they’ve misread the quality of their list)… they’ve got to go to GWS don’t they?
“If they (potential trade targets from other clubs) watched the first quarter on Saturday you’d be having second thoughts (about wanting to go to Richmond).”
