Who are our forwards?
« on: August 01, 2016, 09:12:43 PM »
When the club goes through a review and hopefully thorough list management audit. Who are our forwards? After 3 goals in a game, one has to ask.

Go through the list and come up with any more than I have?

Riewoldt
Griffiths
Vickery
McBean
Lloyd
Rioli

Who else is on our list as a forward?

Vickery out of form
Rioli first year player
Griffiths injured
McBean not up to it and a kid
Riewoldt was off.

No wonder we don't have plan B. We literally don't have any other forwards on our list. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you name 6 forwards each week? Should we count Edwards as one of them to get to 6? Lennon? Played down back when came into seniors...

Joke List Management and development.

Honestly, who else is a forward on our list?

Look at Hawks. Bruest, Rioli, Gunston, Sicily, Puopolo, Roughead (Or McEvoy and Ceglar who rotate currently). There is 6 straight off the top of my head that are in best 22. Minus Buddy ofcourse. We barely have 6 on the whole entire list?

No wonder we can't win games.
Go Tigers!

That list of forwards looks weak. Only 2 of them have done enough to earn a game, Riewoldt and Lloyd. The rest of them are charity cases in one way or another.

Riewoldt-below par season, by his own lofty standards
Griffiths-wouldn't get a game any other club
Vickery-If you have any confidence in your talls, you sign them a year in advance of their next contract expiry.
McBean-It's not looking good
Lloyd-has been OK
Rioli-absolutely worth sticking with, but hasn't earned his supper

Looks pretty bang average. That's why id like to see deledio / Cotchin / Edwards used mainly forward.

Perfect year to get games into c moore / chol / bean. Instead they have leagues Chaplin fwd and another year of Vickery.

Making kids a fwd in his twilight years just isn't a part of the process.

Sorry.
Not an option.

Same with the others.
